CRISIS RECEIVING CENTER
(formerly 23 Hour Crisis)
A Safe, Supportive Alternative to Hospitalization
At Southern Change Behavioral Health Services, our Crisis Receiving Center (CRC) provides a welcoming, trauma-informed environment for individuals experiencing behavioral health or substance use crises. Formerly known as the "23-Hour Crisis Program," our CRC offers short-term, community-based care designed to help stabilize individuals in distress—without the need for inpatient hospitalization.
We provide a space where individuals can safely detox, de-escalate from emotional or psychiatric episodes, and begin the transition to lower levels of care. With support from licensed mental health professionals, psychiatric nurse practitioners (available 24/7 via telehealth), and trained nursing staff, we ensure every individual receives compassionate care tailored to their unique needs.
Our goal is to reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, provide immediate access to care, and empower each individual to move forward with the right supports in place.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a crisis, we're here to help—quickly, compassionately, and confidentially.
